At the core of our business is the design, installation and maintenance of electrical installations. As qualified electricians with a decade of experience in the commercial and domestic electrical sectors, plus City and Guilds qualifications and the backing of NAPIT, we’re master electricians capable of meeting the needs of offices, schools, factories, restaurants, residential homes, lettings agencies, landlords and retailers.

Some installation work consists of installing electrical equipment and appliances within an existing space. This work must always be done safely and in line with associated regulations.

Often we’ll be called in to completely rewire a business or home, usually as electrical contractors within the context of a broader building project. This may be a shop-fitting, a restaurant refit, a kitchen extension, a renovation, a new-build, or even a trade-show installation.

First-fix must be done in collaboration with the builder and depends on joined-up thinking, scheduling, and physical access during the build.

The last stage, known as second-fix, involves installation of cosmetic and customer-facing details such as socket and switch fascias, light fittings and appliances. The work in this stage depends on the successful laying in of required cabling, fuses, socket boxes and earthing during first-fix. For that reason first-fix and second-fix are closely related and neither can be planned in isolation.

We hold City and Guilds qualifications in electrical Inspection, Testing and Certification (BS2391). That qualification ensures our work is carried out to British Standards, and in particular complies with BS7671 (commonly known in the industry as “the regs”). We’re also members of NAPIT (the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers), a British body overseeing inspection and testing for the building industry. NAPIT registered installers are regularly assessed to ensure they are compliant with the latest legally required standards and health and safety regulations.
